I've been following the case of Micah Briscoe, and my thoughts keep wandering to the impact this tragic incident must have on his friends. Micah was on his way to visit a friend when he was taken from this world far too soon. I can't even imagine the shock and pain for that friend who was likely just expecting a normal day with someone they cared about. Friendships at that age are so formative and special, and knowing that they've lost someone they probably considered a brother must be incredibly difficult. I hope the community comes together to support each other and especially Micah's close circle of friends during this painful time. They deserve answers and some form of closure for the void that has been left by Micah's untimely departure. It's a reminder of how senseless violence impacts not just families but the entire social fabric around the victim. Let's hope for justice for Micah and peace for those he left behind.
