Has anyone considered the theory that Stephen Mason might have planned his disappearance? It's interesting that he asked his friend to return his vehicle and belongings to his wife before vanishing. Why not return them personally if he intended to come back? Plus, he was familiar with the area and could have had a hidden spot prepared. I know it's just speculation, but maybe he wanted to start over? Has anyone come across similar cases where experienced outdoorsmen vanished like this, seemingly without a trace? Sometimes, these environments can offer excellent cover for those wanting to disappear. Just a thought!

Has anyone been following the case of Stephen Michael Mason? Something that's been really bugging me is the fact that despite him being an experienced outdoorsman, not a single trace of him has been found after all these years. I mean, shouldn’t there be something? Even the most seasoned outdoor folks leave some kind of trail or trace, right? The authorities found that food cache, but what about his personal items? No gear, no clothing, nothing. It's strange, especially considering the extensive search efforts. What do you all think? Could he have intentionally left without a trace, or is there more to this story somewhere in those woods? Opinions?
