Mark Murincsak, 44, was last seen at home in Princeton, Pennsylvania, on the night of September 30, 2006. After finishing a Walmart shift he returned to his sister’s house, had a snack about 11:15 p.m., asked to be woken at 8:00 a.m., and went to bed. The sister last saw him that night.
Early the next morning, October 1, 2006, Pennsylvania State Police notified the family that Mark’s pickup had been found abandoned with the keys inside on the Shenango River Bridge on the Route 422 Bypass in Taylor Township, Lawrence County. Searches of the riverbanks and an aerial sweep of the Shenango River turned up no sign of him.
Investigators and family were left with no witnesses or clear leads; it is unknown whether he went into the river, left on foot, or what else occurred. The initial intensive search produced no clues and the case later grew cold.
If anyone knew Mark, saw his truck that night, or has information about his movements in late September 2006, please come forward.
