This is absolutely heartbreaking. My deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Avian Juwan Porter Sr. No one should have to endure this kind of loss, and it's devastating to see yet another life cut short by senseless violence.
Avian’s death is not just a statistic—it’s a reminder of the urgent need for real solutions to the gun violence crisis in Baltimore. The fact that his case remains unsolved is deeply troubling and speaks to the broader challenges our city faces when it comes to public safety, justice, and community healing.
We must continue to demand accountability and action—from law enforcement, elected officials, and one another. But more than that, we must invest in our communities, uplift those affected by violence, and support initiatives that prevent these tragedies before they happen.
Rest in power, Avian. You are not forgotten.
