Hello everyone,
I've been following Michelle Carter's case, and something that's really sticking with me is the event on February 24, just a few days before the tragedy. It's heartbreaking to think that Michelle reached out to the authorities about Harris's stalking, and yet the system wasn't able to offer her the protection she desperately needed. She did everything right, but it just seems like there was a gap between what was reported and the final tragic outcome.
It's incredibly frustrating and upsetting for those of us who hear these stories time and again—wondering how we can better protect those who seek help. I'm hoping we can learn something from this to prevent future tragedies. My heart truly goes out to her children and family. They shouldn’t have to suffer this way.
Has anyone heard about changes being proposed regarding stalker laws or police responses in Maryland, or elsewhere? This repeated failure of the system needs to stop.
Stay safe, everyone. Hug your loved ones a bit tighter tonight.
Warm regards,

I recently learned about Michelle Carter's tragic case in Germantown, and I'm absolutely devastated for her family, especially her five children. I can't even imagine the pain they must be going through. I wanted to talk a little about the impact that community support can have during such trying times.
Seeing the outpouring of love and support for Michelle’s family, whether through donations on GoFundMe or community vigils, is truly heartening. It shows that there are people out there who care deeply and are willing to stand by those affected by such senseless violence. It’s a small light in the darkness for the family and friends who are coping with their grief.
On another note, this case really emphasizes how critical it is for the community and authorities to act quickly when someone is showing signs of being in danger, especially when stalking is involved. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for all of us to be more vigilant and supportive.
My thoughts are with Michelle’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Stay strong, and know that there are so many who are holding you in their hearts.
