It’s so sad to think about Michael’s family and friends right now. I’ve been following the case, and one aspect that’s really stood out to me is how close it happened to such a recognizable place, the Washington National Cemetery. You’d expect a cemetery, of all places, to be an area of peace and reflection. I can’t imagine the shock of this violence breaking that sense of serenity. It’s unsettling to think that this horrible crime occurred at such a public and visible spot, yet there seem to be few leads. Sending strength to everyone affected and hoping that someone comes forward with info soon.
