The increasing violence in Baltimore is heartbreaking, and Antwan Watson’s murder is another painful reminder of this harsh reality. I was reading about how investments in community programs and resources can help reduce violence. Imagine if we could prevent even a handful of incidents like this by investing more in education, employment opportunities, and safe recreational spaces for the youth. While we wait and hope for justice for Antwan, I hope local leaders and organizations take stronger, proactive steps to make tragedies like this less common. My thoughts are with Antwan’s family and friends during this difficult time.
