I've been reading more about the Bigham plantation case, and my heart really goes out to the family members left behind. What a devastating ordeal to lose so many loved ones in one swoop. I can't imagine the pain of those poor children, Leo and little John Mack Black, caught up in this tragedy. Just thinking about how their lives were ending so early makes it hard to wrap my head around it. What really piqued my interest was the way Edmund D. Bigham's trial played out. It happened so quickly compared to today's legal proceedings. The jury reached a decision in just a few hours! Though the evidence must have been compelling, I always wonder about things moving too fast when such heavy consequences are involved. Does anyone here know if there were notable flaws or controversies during the trial? My thoughts are with the Bigham and McCracken families for having to endure such an unimaginable loss.
