Has anyone looked into the community response in Charleston following the Williams family tragedy in 1968? I’m trying to understand more about how such a devastating event affected their neighbors and the city as a whole. It’s terrible to think about the shock and fear that must have rippled through their community back then. I’m particularly interested in any local efforts to support the surviving family members or memorials that might have been established to honor Katie Lee Williams and her children. Even decades later, it seems so important to keep their memory alive and remember the impact they left behind.
