I was thinking about the fact that William's dog was left behind in the cabin. Isn't it odd that the dog urinated inside? From everything I've heard, it seems like he was well-trained. It's almost like something happened suddenly, causing William to leave in a rush without taking his dog. I wonder if anyone checked for tracks outside the cabin or signs that maybe he went out looking for something or someone. Even more curious is the power being turned off. Could it have been an attempt to preserve the generator's fuel, or did someone else want the place to remain unnoticed? Just speculating here, but these odd details seem significant. Anyone familiar with cases where dogs were left at scenes, and it provided clues? It's all just so puzzling.
Has anyone else found it odd about the power being turned off at the cabin where William Elgen disappeared? I mean, it just adds another layer of mystery to the case. If someone was planning to come back soon, why would they turn off the power? It makes me wonder if it was turned off accidentally or if maybe William did it himself for some reason. Or could it be something more sinister? Given how chilly it can get in late December in that area, it seems strange that someone would shut it off and leave. It’s these little details that make the whole situation even more puzzling. Anyone else have thoughts on this? ?
I was looking more into William James Elgen's case and something about the situation with his dog really stands out to me. It's unsettling that the dog, which the family said is normally house-trained, urinated inside the cabin. This suggests that the poor pup was probably stressed or scared, and it makes me wonder if something happened that really frightened both the dog and William. Could William have taken off into the woods without his coat because he was in a hurry? And what could that mean about the timeline of when everything happened? With the power being turned off, it’s like a piece of the puzzle that doesn’t quite fit. I hope the sheriff's department is looking into any wildlife activity or possible developments in that remote area around that time. Anyone from the Modesto or Twain Harte area have any insights or thoughts?
