Does anyone else find it odd that Rueben Zavala's case wasn’t entered into NamUs until 2019, even though he disappeared in 2011? That's an eight-year gap! I understand paperwork can take time, but this seems unusually long. Could it be a sign that things were mishandled initially, or am I reading too much into it? Maybe someone with experience in these processes can explain why this might happen. It just makes me wonder if this delay affected the investigation in any way. His family must feel such frustration waiting for any news or updates. Thoughts?

I've been following Rueben Zavala's case for a while, and something's been nagging at me. Does anyone else think it's strange that his NamUs entry wasn't filed until 2019, years after he disappeared? I know sometimes missing persons cases can fall through the cracks or take time to get processed, but eight years is a long time. Could it indicate a lack of urgency at the beginning, or maybe there was some other reason behind the delay? It just seems like such a long time for his case to linger without that crucial piece of attention. Anyone have thoughts on what might have caused this gap in officially filing his information?

Has anyone else noticed how strange it is that Rueben's case wasn't filed in NamUs until eight years after he went missing? I don't get why it took so long. I mean, it's a system designed to help connect the dots on missing persons, right? Are there any rules on how soon a case should be entered? It just seems odd, especially since the sooner it's in a national database, the better the chances of finding any leads. Maybe their family faced some roadblocks or didn't know about NamUs earlier? I feel like a lot of missing persons cases could benefit from being included sooner. Thoughts?
