I’ve been thinking a lot about the events leading up to that awful night at the 7-Eleven. It's so daunting to realize how quickly things turned tragic after what seemed to be just a scuffle outside a club. A.J. wasn’t involved in any way with the initial confrontation, so it’s heartbreaking that his life was cut short in a situation that he was merely a bystander to. It’s sobering to think that a simple night out could escalate in such a devastating way. I can only imagine the pain his family and friends are enduring. They must be feeling like their world has been turned upside down, grappling with the sudden loss of someone so full of life and promise. A.J.'s smile and kindness seemed to touch everyone he met, and it’s comforting to see the community rally around his family. I hope that those who loved him find some peace and that justice for A.J. gives them some solace.
