I've been thinking a lot about the courage and strength of the families involved in the Emanuel AME Church shooting. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton's family, in particular, has been in my thoughts. Losing someone in such a violent and senseless way must be unimaginable, yet they've continued to speak out and honor her memory. I came across a few interviews and articles highlighting how her loved ones have been advocating for change in her name, focusing on gun control and racial justice.
It's inspiring to see how they've channeled their grief into something so powerful. Sharonda obviously played a significant role in many lives, not just as a mother and community leader but as someone who believed in fostering positive change. Her commitment to those around her shines through in the way her family has taken up her cause.
I can't stop thinking about what a difference it would make if more of us channeled our emotions into advocacy like this. It's a reminder that even amidst the darkest times, there can be hope and a drive for positive change. Sending love and strength to all who knew Sharonda and the other victims.
