I was reading more about Ethel W. Lee Lance and felt compelled to share how inspiring her dedication to Emanuel AME Church was. For over 30 years, she poured her heart into caring for the sacred space, ensuring it was always welcoming for everyone who walked through its doors. It's evident from everything I've read that Ethel was much more than the church custodian; she was a beloved figure within the community. It's deeply saddening to think about how much love and warmth she gave and how that was taken from the world so senselessly. Her commitment and spirit continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her and even those of us learning about her now. Holding her family and friends close to my heart as they navigate the ongoing pain of this loss.
