I’ve been following Jahalil Drayton’s case for quite some time, and the arrest of Antonio McCray brought a sense of relief knowing that there might finally be justice for Jahalil. I've been especially moved by the strength of Jahalil's family throughout this difficult ordeal. It's unimaginable what they’ve had to endure all these years. One aspect that truly struck me was the role community played in reviving this case. It's a solemn reminder of how powerful our voices can be when we come together, even if it takes a long time. Initially, no one came forward, which is understandable given the fear of repercussions, but seeing witnesses step up after several years is inspiring. It shows that change can happen, albeit slowly, when we find the courage to act. Hoping for a fair trial and that justice is duly served so Jahalil’s family can find some peace.

I've been following Jahalil's case since it was reopened, and one thing that really stood out to me is the role of the community in bringing the case back to life. I can't imagine the pain his family must have been through, pushing so hard for justice all those years. It really shows that speaking up, even when it's uncomfortable or scary, can make a huge difference. If those witnesses hadn't come forward, who knows if there would have been any progress? It’s a reminder of how important it is to support families and give a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves anymore. Just hoping that this brings some peace to those who loved him. ?
