I’ve been following the case of Rafael Aguilar and the other victim from the Socastee Plaza incident for a while now, and one thing that’s stuck with me is the impact on the community. It’s so sad seeing how these violent crimes leave such a large ripple effect, especially when you think about how much Rafael's friends and family have been through. The community really came together during the vigils and memorials, which speaks volumes about the support system they have. It’s always uplifting to see people rally together in times of unimaginable loss, but at the same time, it’s such a sobering reminder that these kinds of tragedies can happen anywhere. Hoping for continued healing for all those affected by this senseless act.
