Hey everyone,
I've been following Kyle David Shirlin's case and something that's been on my mind is the role social media played in how this unfolded. It seems like a lot of information, both accurate and not, was shared online by those at the party and it makes me wonder how that impacted the case.
From what I've gathered, many of the partygoers were posting on social platforms while everything was happening. This makes me think about how law enforcement deals with these modern aspects of cases. Do these posts help the investigation, or do they end up complicating things with layers of misinformation?
Also, it's heartbreaking to imagine what Kyle's family must be going through, knowing that parts of his final moments were shared online. I can only hope these platforms served a greater purpose in catching those responsible and that they'll be able to provide some clarity or closure for his family.
Would love to hear what others think about the social media angle in both this case or similar ones.
