I’ve been thinking a lot about how devastating this must be for both the Smith and Frederick families. The fact that Paul’s own wife was charged definitely adds another layer of complexity and grief. I can’t imagine how they’re all coping. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but in such sudden and tragic circumstances? It must feel like emotions are all over the place on top of the loss. I hope the community can provide some support and kindness to both sides as they navigate such a difficult period. It seems like a lot of people are quick to judge, but there’s clearly a lot we don’t know yet about what happened that night. Let's hope the full story comes to light during the trial so everyone involved can begin to heal.
