Hey everyone, I've been following the Edward Walker case, and something that really stands out to me is how overlooked his family seems to be in all of this. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for his parents and kids, especially with the trial wrapping up relatively quickly. It’s hard enough dealing with such a loss, but knowing the person responsible is getting just a few years behind bars must be incredibly tough for them. I’ve been thinking about how often we get caught up discussing the legal details and forget the lasting impact this has on the family left behind. It's cases like these that make me wonder how the judicial system can better support the victims’ families throughout the process. Perhaps some changes could be made to offer more resources for emotional and legal support? Sending thoughts to Edward's friends and family during this difficult time.
