I've been following the case of Jerry Celentano, and it's just so upsetting to see how a routine evening turned into such a tragedy. I keep going back to the lawsuit that Jerry's family filed against Food Lion. It's made me reflect on how important it really is for businesses to ensure their parking lots and other areas are monitored and safe for everyone. I mean, Jerry was just there waiting for his wife like any loving husband would. It’s terrifying to think that an everyday place like a grocery store parking lot could be so dangerous. It makes you wonder, do companies really take the security of their patrons seriously enough? In today’s world, with the technology we have, there’s got to be more they can do to protect people. I hope Jerry's family gets some justice or at least some reassurance that someone is held accountable. No family should have to endure such a loss, especially over something that might have been preventable. Sending all my thoughts to those who knew and loved Jerry.
