I've been following Kurt Scholl’s case, and something that really stood out to me was the SUV theft right after the shooting. It's chilling to think about just how much Fred Ray Harris III seemed to unravel during that time. Stealing the vehicle after committing such a horrific act just adds another layer to the story, like he was desperate to escape both physically and mentally. I can't imagine the fear and chaos Scholl's loved ones were going through, having to process the details that kept emerging.
Has anyone else found it odd how Harris tried to defend his actions during the trial? The way his behavior seemed so unhinged must have been incredibly distressing for Kurt’s family to witness. It’s somewhat of a relief knowing he’s finally been held accountable, but it doesn't change the grief the Scholl family must be feeling. My heart goes out to them. I just hope they find some semblance of peace moving forward.
