I’ve been following the case of Kornell Willis, and I just can’t stop thinking about how truly devastating it must be for his family and friends. One thing that stands out to me is the response of the Columbia Police Department. It seems like they really stepped up their game in handling this case. From what I’ve read, they responded almost immediately once they were flagged down and did everything they could to try to save him until EMS arrived. As horrible as this event is, knowing that the authorities acted quickly might offer some small comfort to his loved ones, at least in terms of knowing everything possible was done to help him. I hope this commitment from the police continues for the sake of other victims and their families. This case has really highlighted the vital need for continued support in addressing domestic violence in our communities. My thoughts are definitely with Kornell and everyone who cared for him.
