I can't stop thinking about Austin Johnes and the pain his family must be enduring. It’s gut-wrenching to know that someone so young was taken so violently, and yet there's been so little progress in the investigation. Louisville's crime rate was unsettling that year, but that doesn’t make Austin’s situation any less tragic or any less deserving of answers. The community has to come together to support the detectives working on the case and share any nuggets of information, no matter how small they might seem. Perhaps there’s someone out there who saw or heard something out of the ordinary on that day—sometimes it’s one tiny detail that can break a case wide open. Let’s not forget Austin; his story matters. Keeping his loved ones in my thoughts.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Austin Johnes, and I can’t stop thinking about how the increased violence in Louisville might have played a role in his tragic death. It's deeply concerning how caught up in a wave of violence such an innocent life can be lost. I’ve read a few news pieces that mentioned there was a spike in crime around that time, but does anyone know if there was any specific incident or event happening in the Portland neighborhood back in May 2020 that could have contributed to this? It’s so hard to imagine what his family must be going through right now, dealing with this senseless loss without clear answers. I really hope that someone finds the courage to come forward with information soon. Austin and his loved ones deserve closure and justice. Stay safe out there, everyone. Let’s keep discussing and sharing in hopes of shedding some light on this.

Hey everyone, I'm new here but I've been following Austin Johnes' case closely. I was wondering if anyone has looked into the rise in violence in Portland around that time in 2020? It just seems like such a horrible coincidence that Austin's murder happened during a period when there were record-high homicides. Could the increase in crime in the area have had something to do with how this case has received little information or attention? It's devastating to see his family still waiting for answers, and I can only imagine their pain. It's like his story got lost in the chaos of that year. Would love to hear your thoughts or any updates you might have.
