Hey everyone, I’ve been following Caleb Howard’s disappearance for a while now and something that's been on my mind is the location where his vehicle was found. Welches, Oregon is pretty remote, and the Mount Hood National Forest is such a vast area. I’m really curious about whether there have been any organized community search efforts or local volunteer groups going out there regularly to comb through the trails and less-traveled areas. With the pins and screws in his ankle, it seems like it would be quite a challenging terrain for him if he was on foot. I wonder if there's been any focus on areas where he might have needed to rest or seek easier passage through the forest? If anyone has been part of a search or knows more about the kind of terrain they were focusing on, it would be great to hear your insights!

Has anyone else been following the case of Caleb Howard? I was just reading up on it and I can't shake the feeling that there might be something significant about the location where his car was found. The Mount Hood National Forest is massive and full of hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. I wonder if anyone who frequents that area might have seen something out of the ordinary around the time Caleb went missing. It’s such a remote and challenging place – maybe someone unexpectedly came across something but didn’t realize its importance at the time. Also, has there been any talk about sightings or unusual activity in the forest that could be related? Just thinking out loud and hoping someone might connect the dots. Any local hikers here with thoughts?

I was reading through some of the old news articles about Caleb Howard's case, and something’s been bugging me. Given the nature of his previous ankle injury, wouldn’t he have been more prone to limited mobility, especially in rough terrain like Mount Hood? It’s puzzling how he could've navigated such a challenging landscape without leaving any trace. Plus, since those screws and pins in his ankle are pretty unique, why weren't search teams able to detect any metal with ground-penetrating equipment? I feel like this could've been a crucial lead. Just curious if anyone else thinks this aspect might hold some overlooked significance?
