Has anyone else looked into the life and career of Chief Orrin Henry "Ott" Reed before the Kansas City Massacre? It's deeply saddening to think about how he dedicated himself to serving and protecting his community in McAlester, only to be tragically gunned down while performing his duty. He seems to have been a well-respected figure, right? I came across a few mentions of him working tirelessly to improve local law enforcement and the safety of his town. It must have been devastating for his colleagues and the residents back home to hear the news. I can't imagine how his family coped with such a loss. If anyone has more info or resources about his work or legacy, I would love to know more. His memory deserves to be honored and remembered.
