I stumbled across Karl's case while researching missing persons in Washington and can't shake the feeling that there's something more out there. I came across a few camping forums where people discussed sightings of travelers in the Walla Walla area around that time. Has anyone looked into whether Karl might have been planning a camping trip and met with some kind of trouble in the wilderness? I know a lot of folks head out without letting anyone know exactly where they're going, especially if they're feeling adventurous or need some time alone. Could he have visited one of the lesser-known trails or campsites and something went wrong? Just a thought – maybe some outdoor enthusiasts might have seen or heard something around that period?
Has anyone noticed how Karl's case hasn't really gotten much media attention? It seems like so many missing persons cases get a lot of coverage, but Karl’s just flew under the radar. It makes me wonder if there's some crucial detail that wasn’t shared with the public or if it’s just a case of being lost among other news stories at the time. I really hope the local community in Walla Walla is still actively involved and keeping an eye out. Considering how small the town is, someone must've seen something back in May 2018. Hello everyone. I've been digging into the case of Karl Thomas James Betty, and I find it really strange how there's absolutely no electronic trace of him after he left the house in Walla Walla. It’s like he vanished without a trace. Does anyone know if his cell phone was pinged in the days following his disappearance? It seems like the kind of thing that could provide some clues or at least narrow down the timeline. I know sometimes law enforcement might not release that information, but I haven’t seen anything mentioned about it. Thoughts?
