I was reading up on the Ryshun Bell case recently, and something that really struck me was the setting. I mean, a kid’s birthday party at a water park, of all places? It’s just unbelievable that an environment meant for joy and laughter could turn so tragic. My heart aches for the families who were there that day, especially for the parents who had to explain to their children why their special day took such a dark turn. I can't stop thinking about how Ryshun had such a bright future ahead of him, with plans to study civil engineering. It's truly a loss not just for his family, but for all of us. I hope that his story inspires more discussions around safety and conflict resolution, especially in places where families should feel secure. How do we even begin to safeguard our community spaces from such senseless acts?
