Hey everyone, I've been following Patrone Pierce's case and what's really sticking with me is how the neighborhood's reaction shows just how close-knit that community must have been. Neighbors initially thought the gunshots were fireworks—maybe that’s because of how peaceful they usually find their area? It saddens me to think that such violence can strike unexpectedly, and in broad daylight no less. One detail that broke me was hearing about the neighbor's young son being among the first to see Patrone. I can't even imagine the impact that might have on him and his family. It’s crucial that these kids find some support to process what they’ve witnessed. For those of you in the area, are there community efforts or gatherings still happening to honor Patrone or to support finding justice for him? I find it helpful to know that communities come together in times like these, even if the case remains unsolved. Hoping for some peace and answers soon. Stay safe, everyone.
