I’ve been following the case of Walter Merle Pollard Jr., and I can’t help but think about the ripple effects his death has had on his young daughter, Leelou Marie. Losing a parent in such a violent manner is unimaginable, and it must be so hard for her family as they try to explain what happened someday. It’s tragic to think about the milestones and precious moments they’ll never share. I hope there’s support around her and those who loved Walter can find some peace. It's so important to remember the individuals whose lives are disrupted by these senseless acts, particularly the children left behind. This case really sheds light on how a single, terrible act can devastate so many lives. My thoughts go out to Leelou and everyone else affected.
