I’ve been thinking about how devastating this must be for Sam's family and friends, especially with how everything unfolded around the case. What stands out to me is how easily crucial evidence like the surveillance video can get lost or mishandled, and the impact that has on seeking justice. It’s just unnerving to think about what might have happened if that video hadn’t been found—it’s like the system almost let them down. I hope this case leads to some serious improvements in evidence management so that future families don’t have to deal with the same added stress during such an unimaginable time. The whole Sikeston community is surely feeling the weight of this tragedy. Sending lots of strength and support to everyone affected by this.
