I'm trying to wrap my head around this entire situation. The part about the pillow really got to me. It's chilling to think that Owens was so calculated in his actions, even considering the minor detail of trying not to rouse the child in the next room. Knowing that a young life was inches away from such a horrific scene is incredibly unsettling. I can't begin to imagine the trauma that child might experience as they grow older and learn the details of that night. My heart goes out to Ryan’s family, especially his child, who has to navigate life without him and with the weight of these dark events. It's a tragedy on so many levels, and I hope the community of Slater finds ways to support Ryan's family, particularly in providing a nurturing environment for his child. How are others in Slater coping with these events?
