Has anyone else been following the Kinney case from Marshfield? I keep thinking about the reports filed by the Missouri Children's Division and how they weren't acted upon. It's truly frustrating to see how these early warnings were ignored. I can’t imagine the frustration and helplessness Leigh Ann Malone must feel knowing there were people who might have been able to intervene. I've read stories before about state agencies being overwhelmed or under-resourced, but it doesn't make it any less difficult to digest in cases like this. William and Robbie deserved protection and a future. We need to do better to ensure that such warning signs lead to meaningful action and that families struggling with domestic issues receive the attention and support they deserve. What are everyone else’s thoughts on this aspect? Would love to hear how others feel about this.
