I've been thinking about Derrell Simmons' case and how impactful community support can be in situations like this. It's really important to remember that even seemingly small pieces of information could be the key the investigators need. Derrell was only 29 and had so much life ahead of him—it’s just so distressing how these things happen. I hope anyone who knows anything, even if it seems insignificant, takes a moment to come forward. We owe it to Derrell and his family to help in whatever small way we can, and hopefully bring some peace to those who knew and loved him. It's truly a collective effort when it comes to solving these kinds of tragedies. If we all keep sharing his story and keeping the dialogue open, maybe justice will be served.
