I've been following the tragic case of Lance E. Loveless, and something that really sticks out to me is the role technology played in solving it. I mean, using GPS tracking data to establish Willie Haughton’s connection to the crime scenes was crucial. It’s chilling to think that Haughton was out on bond and yet was still brazen enough to commit two murders in such a short span. It's amazing how much our everyday devices can end up being key pieces of evidence in solving crimes. My heart goes out to Lance's family—imagine living with the reality that his simple act of kindness led to such a senseless loss. Thank goodness justice was served with Haughton’s sentencing, but it doesn’t change the fact that two lives were lost, and numerous others forever altered.
