I was struck by the resilience of Scott Bedgood in this horrific situation. To think he was there, presumably trying to protect his family, and ended up being wounded himself is just unimaginable. From what I've gathered, he's shown incredible strength throughout the legal process, even as court proceedings dredged up such painful memories for him. The physical and emotional recovery must be an ongoing battle for him. I imagine he consistently relives that dreadful night, pondering over the what-ifs and how things could have ended differently. Scott seems like a key part of the support network now rallying around the children, stepping into a role that was abruptly and violently thrust upon him. If anyone has updates on how he’s been doing lately or how he’s coping, I’d be interested to hear. It's so important that the survivors are getting the support they need given the trauma they experienced.
