I can't stop thinking about the impact Stephen McDade's murder must have had on his loved ones. Living near the intersection of 27th Street and Carrollton Avenue at the time, I remember how unsettling it was with all the violence happening around us. It made everyone in the community feel on edge, worried that something terrible could happen to any of us or our families. My heart goes out to Stephen’s family and friends, who have had to endure the pain of such a senseless loss. It’s deeply frustrating that his case, like so many others, remains unsolved. I hope that someone out there has the courage to come forward with information that can finally bring some peace to those who knew and loved him. If you're reading this and remember anything from that night, please consider reaching out. Let's not forget Stephen.
