Has anyone else followed the case of Serenity Latrice Roby-Williams? I recently read about her and can't stop thinking about how much potential she had. Being a high school senior with dreams of becoming a forensic scientist is no small feat. It’s clear that she had a bright future ahead of her, and her teachers saw that too. What really struck me is how this tragedy impacts not just her family, which is already so large and surely feeling such a deep loss, but also her entire school community. It’s heartbreaking to think she celebrated her 18th birthday just before this horrible event. Does anyone know if there have been any movements in Kansas City to honor her life or raise awareness about the gun violence issue? I hope her family finds some peace and the justice they deserve soon.
