I was thinking about the role of the off-duty officer at the birthday party who heard the gunshots. Can you imagine how terrifying and surreal that moment must have been? One minute you're at a kid's party, surrounded by laughter and celebration, and the next you're drawn into this horrible situation. It must've been a shock for everyone there, especially the kids. But it's also incredible how the officer stepped up and ran toward the danger. That kind of bravery and quick thinking is something I truly admire. Of course, it won't bring Kourtney back, but maybe it offers a small sense of relief knowing his killer was caught so swiftly. It’s just so sad that a family lost someone so dear in such a senseless act. My thoughts are with them as they continue to cope with this devastating loss.

I’ve been following Kourtney Steed’s case and I can’t help but feel for his family dealing with such a painful loss during the holiday season. It’s a sad reminder of how unexpected and senseless events can upend lives in an instant. What really caught my attention was the quick action of the off-duty officer. It’s comforting to know that there are people who step up even when they’re off duty, ready to protect others. Thank goodness the officer was nearby to ensure Romello Thomas was caught, preventing him from possibly causing more harm. I hope the Steed family finds some peace and healing as they navigate this unimaginable situation.
