Has anyone else been following the details around Richard Emery's capture? I was reading through some reports, and it seems like the police had a really tough time apprehending him. The fact that he engaged in a shootout with the officers and then attempted a carjacking is something straight out of a movie. It's terrifying to think how far someone would go to evade capture after committing such a horrific crime. I can't even begin to imagine the strain on the officers who had to confront him that night, knowing the gravity of what had just happened. Also, I keep thinking about that woman he tried to carjack and stab—she's incredibly lucky to be alive. Just a harrowing situation all around for everyone involved, especially Kate and her family's friends and loved ones. My heart goes out to them as they navigate this difficult time.
