I’ve been following the case of Othel Moore Jr., and something that really weighs on my mind is the level of suffering he must have experienced before his death. The fact that he was compliant and still faced such extreme measures is profoundly disturbing. It raises questions about the protocols used by correction officers and whether there's adequate training in place for handling these situations safely. My heart truly goes out to Moore’s family—nobody should have to endure this kind of loss, especially under such horrific circumstances. I'm hopeful that the increased scrutiny will bring about much-needed changes in the system and prevent this from happening to anyone else. What do you all think could be done to ensure better handling of such situations? How do we push for real accountability?
