Hey everyone, I've been following Demetria Howard's case and something that's stuck with me is the role surveillance played in unraveling this tragedy. It's chilling to think how the footage basically chronicled the lead-up to the worst moment of her life. It makes me wonder if Demetria felt she needed that extra security because of her relationship with Perry. It's sad to think a young woman felt compelled to install cameras just to feel safe in her own home. Her decision to move out and create a new start for herself and her kids only to have this happen is beyond comprehension. I can't stop thinking about how incredibly brave she was to take steps towards a better life despite the toxicity surrounding her. It's truly a reminder of how real and terrifying domestic violence can be. Sending love and strength to her family and those beautiful children.
