Have any of you been following Gerald Keith Jackson Jr.'s case? It's so frustrating and sad to see how it remains unsolved even after all this time. I keep thinking about the last vigil I attended, and how there were so many people there coming together to support his family. It was a powerful reminder of what a special person Gerald was to so many. ? His family's resilience is truly inspiring. They've turned their grief into action by advocating for other families affected by gun violence. Yet, I can't help but feel the weight of injustice when I hear there have been no arrests. The recurring rallies and gatherings make it clear that the community is standing strong with them, but it's hard not to feel helpless sometimes. I wonder if there's more we, as a community, can do to support both the investigation and efforts to tackle root causes of violence? If you have any ideas or know of existing community initiatives, let’s discuss them here. Keeping Lil-G's spirit alive means everything to those who loved him. ?

It's been almost four years since Gerald "Lil-G" Jackson Jr.'s tragic passing, and the pain still feels fresh for those of us who knew him or heard of his story. Remembering how driven and optimistic he was makes the lack of justice in his case even harder to bear. One thing that really struck me was how committed he was to making his community safer by wanting to join the police force. Instead of becoming a statistic, he dreamt of being part of the change. It's tough knowing he’ll never get the chance to fulfill that dream. I recently joined one of the community rallies organized by his family, and it’s incredible to see their strength. It’s clear that Gerald’s spirit lives on through their activism, pushing for peace and hope amidst all the tragedy. For those with any information on Gerald's case, please consider stepping forward. His family deserves answers, and our community deserves closure and justice.
