Ernest Salisbury Jr.'s case has really been weighing on my mind lately. It’s devastating to think about how his life was cut short like this. I can’t help but reflect on the scene — that QuikTrip on Gravois Avenue where everything happened. It must be so hard for his family and friends, knowing that he was just at a gas station, a place we all go to regularly, and then suddenly, nothing is the same. It’s terrifying to think about how unpredictable these violent acts can be. What also stands out to me is the woman who was with him and thankfully survived. I can only imagine the trauma she must be going through, both physically and emotionally. Surviving an event like that, while losing someone you know, is unimaginable. I hope she’s receiving all the support she needs right now. It's incredibly frustrating that no suspects are identified yet. The community's role becomes so important in times like these. Whether it’s remembering a small detail or coming forward with any information, it's vital in helping solve this case. I truly hope someone who knows something or saw something comes forward soon. Ernest Salisbury deserves justice, and the community deserves the peace that comes with it. Keeping everyone affected in my thoughts.
