Has anyone else been following the news about Floyd Freeman and Margarita Paez? I just can't stop thinking about why this happened in the West Bottoms area—seems like such a random place for a shooting like this. I used to work around there, and it was always pretty quiet at night. I can’t imagine what was going through Floyd and Margarita’s minds during those terrifying moments. It's hard to process how quickly life can change. The fact that there were shots fired from another vehicle complicates the case even more. Was it a planned attack, or did everything just spiral out of control in the worst way possible? My thoughts are with their families; they must be going through so much right now with all this uncertainty. Sometimes it feels like we're just helpless bystanders to all this violence. It really makes you think about what more can be done to keep our communities safe.
