I've been following the case of Kristen Whitted, and one thing that's been on my mind is the broader issue of road rage incidents turning violent. It's terrifying to think that just driving down the highway can turn deadly due to someone else's recklessness. Kristen didn’t deserve to get caught up in something so senseless. I truly feel for her family, knowing that one moment took away their loved one and drastically changed their world. The fact that someone felt it was okay to shoot on a busy interstate speaks to a larger societal issue that needs addressing. I'm relieved that justice was served and Pittman was held accountable, as Kristen’s family deserves that sense of closure. But we really need to push for more awareness and preventative measures to stop this kind of tragedy from happening to any other families in the future. Stay safe out there, everyone.
