I’ve been following Roseann McCulley’s case and it's just such a heavy feeling. I wanted to talk about the role of neighbors in situations like these. Roseann’s neighbor did everything right by calling 911 when they heard screaming. It’s a reminder of how important it is for us to look out for each other. Sometimes, being aware and taking action can make a difference, though sadly it was too late in this instance. My heart goes out to all those neighbors and community members who were affected by this terrible event. Is there more we can do as community members to help spot and prevent tragedies like this from happening? It’s something I keep thinking about.
