I’ve been following Bill Steffen’s case from La Belle, and it’s strange how someone with such a peaceful life ended up the victim of such a violent tragedy. One thing that puzzles me is how he was found on his back porch—does this imply he might've known his attacker? It seems like he was taken by surprise, but maybe he was comfortable enough to be outside with the person. The fact that it was a propane delivery man who discovered him is haunting; I can only imagine the shock and distress that person went through. My heart goes out to Bill’s family and all those involved in the investigation. It’s unsettling that there are still no strong leads or suspects. I really hope someone out there knows something and comes forward soon. The community deserves closure, and Bill’s family deserves justice. Has anyone heard any updates or noticed anything unusual around that time that might help the investigation?
