Terry Hobbs, age 55, went missing from Kinard, Florida, on April 13, 2019. He was last seen after being taken to Wewahitchka, Florida, by family members, where they visited a Dollar General store. Later that same day, Hobbs and a group of friends were seen at the Creek Stop Convenience Store in Gulf County, Florida. He was never heard from again after that visit. Prior to his disappearance, Hobbs had been staying with friends and visiting family in the area after moving out of Kinard in the wake of Hurricane Michael in 2018.
Several troubling circumstances surround his case. His gray shirt was later found at the home of Dwight Morgan, the brother of one of Hobbs' acquaintances, Mack Morgan. Furthermore, Hobbs' family became alarmed when they couldn't reach him by phone, only to discover that someone else had reset his phone to factory settings and changed the voicemail. The individual who had his phone is said to have been an acquaintance of Hobbs, raising further suspicion. Investigators continue to search for answers, and his family has raised concerns about foul play, especially after learning that Hobbs may have been involved in a confrontation before he disappeared.
