Jonathan Bandabaila, a 19-year-old from Oakland, California, was last seen on May 3, 2019. He had left his home that day, reportedly headed to a soccer tournament. His car, a silver 1998 Honda Accord, was found abandoned on the San Mateo Bridge early the next morning. Witnesses reported seeing someone sitting or standing on the guardrail of the bridge, but by the time the California Highway Patrol arrived, there was no one in or around the vehicle.
Inside the car, which wasn't searched until days later, investigators found Bandabaila's duffel bags and passport. His family strongly disagrees with the initial theory that he may have jumped from the bridge, citing his positive mental and physical health at the time. Despite searches in the water below the bridge, no trace of Bandabaila has been found. Since his disappearance, he has not used his phone or accessed his bank accounts, deepening the mystery of what happened to him.
