In the spring of 2019, a 24-year-old man named Jordan Butler-Turner vanished from his home in New Rochelle, New York. On May 23rd, he had a simple plan for his day which included picking up his medication before traveling into Manhattan for some leisure time, with the full intention of returning to his residence later. However, Jordan never made it back home, and he has not been seen or heard from since that day. His family and the New Rochelle Police Department have been searching for him, but there have been no significant leads in his case. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and his case has since gone cold. Jordan is described as a Black male, standing at approximately 6'1" and weighing around 190 pounds. He has short, dark brown Afro-style hair with a noticeable bald spot on the back of his head, and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he wore glasses that were often described as spotted. Distinctive features include dark marks on his neck and a splint or stitches on one of his fingers or his hand. On the day he disappeared, Jordan was wearing a plaid button-down shirt underneath an orange raincoat and was carrying a blue backpack. He was known to use public transportation, such as the subway, Metro-North, or buses, for his travels. The lack of information and media attention on Jordan's case has been a source of frustration. Despite the efforts of his loved ones to keep his story alive, there has been very little progress in the investigation. The New Rochelle Police Department entered his case into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) on May 31, 2019, just over a week after he was last seen. The case remains open, and his family continues to hope for any information that could lead to answers about what happened to Jordan. The overview of the case is a young man who disappeared after setting out for a routine day of errands and leisure, leaving behind a family searching for answers.
